Fishing the East Fork

Photo of the East Fork of the Gila. Back in the late '70s, Bill Moreland (pictured here) and I used to fish the Gila River on a very regular basis. The Gila, especially the East Fork, is known for it's smallmouth and trout populations.

This early morning trip was Easter Sunday. The water was very frigid, but the occaisional hotsprings that form wading pools adjacent to the East Fork, lend warmth to frozen fishermens feet who didn't know what waders were for.
