Yellow Flag iris is very popular around Los Lunas' ponding community.
The hardy iris easily survives through mild, Los Lunas winters. 
Ponds can add other types of joy and recreation. Like this man and his
grandson spending a day of RC boating at a community pond, part of the Las Maravillas
subdivision, a few minutes southeast of Los Lunas.
