Learning Tool & Mini Stamp Album
Did you know that you can travel by automobile from coast-to-coast across America on just one road?
U. S. Route 50 stretches all across the country (over 3,000 miles), traveling through 12 states and Washington, DC. With this fun project book, kids (8 and up) can experience the many places along Route 50 that DOESN'T require a car to accomplish.
Philatelic Project Book offers children the opportunity to select places along U. S. Route 50 that appeals to their personal interests. Then they practice more learning skills by seeking out more information via encyclopedias, a road atlas or the Internet in order to send away for postmarks (or other information) from the cities and towns they've chosen. As well, there are tips and hints included for creating their own postcards for subsequent project use. They'll choose postage stamps to use (and learn by), organizational skills as they build their collection, and much more.
32 page Project Book is printed in full colour on archival quality papers, for long-term protection to stored stamps and to maintain integrity over a lifetime. Collecting pages are laid out to accomodate arrangments of up to 2 small postcards per page, up to 3 envelope corners (cancelled postage stamps on paper) per page, or up to 117 individual stamps. Visual illustrations are also provided for kids to mix-n-match their arrangments. Softbound, 5.5" x 8.5".
While this truly FUN project book was written in the interests of children, it is our belief that this project book will present quite a challenge to many experienced collectors as well.
