Welcome to Bill Porter's online photographic art site. Bill has 30 years
experience in photography and darkroom. Including commercial ad photography, fashion,
journalism, scenic, and modeling portfolio photography. But aside from occaisional forays
into actual profit from making photographs. Photography is Bill's primary form of artistic
expression. Bill
continues his photographic work today with both conventional mediums -primarily 35mm- and
in medium-format and digital photography. Over the past 20 years, Bill's work has been
displayed in numerous art galleries around New Mexico, two photo-essay/ how-to articles
have been included in Photographic Society of America's Journal magazine, Bill's
own writing and photographs have graced the Southwest New Mexico Magazine, and
together with writer Bill Allen, a series of 10 articles were published in Grain
Producers News on "Ghost Towns of the Southwest," illustrating the
articles. To Bill's credit, two cover shots have also been selected for GPN magazine.
Wildlife is another photographic interest of Bill's and several photographs of coyotes he
has taken have been selected for inclusion in books and on various web sites.
For the past 6 years, Bill's
attention has been focused on commercial art again and, more specifically, illustrating
